Episode 1: The Girl Who Overcame Time and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome
In this episode, you meet a 15-year-old girl named Kagome Higurashi. However, her birthday goes amiss when a giant centipede demon suddenly appears from an ancient well and drags her back through the well to feudal Japan. You also meet the half-demon named Inuyasha, who, in feudal Japan, was bound to the sacred tree by an arrow shot by someone very close to him named Kikyo. Kikyo is a priestess who guards the sacred jewel,,and in this quest, she bound Inuyasha to the sacred tree where he waits for 50 years, yet not aging one bit. This is where Kagome comes in.

Episode 2: Seekers of the Sacred Jewel
Inuyasha was released from the sacred tree by none other than Kagome Higurashi, who looks oddly like Kikyo. Inuyasha tries to kill Kagome because she holds the sacred jewel within her body (well, I dunno about anymore. I think it came out.), which is why the centipede demon attacked her in the first place. But Kagome won't give it to him. So there's a lot of running where Inuyasha takes a couple swings at Kagome and, thankfully, misses, but causes her to fall a few times. Eventually, Kaede (an old priestess; Kikyo's [younger?] sister) takes a necklace and chants something and then the necklace appears on Inuyasha, and Kaede tells Kagome to say a word to make Inuyasha fall to the ground. So Kagome calls "SIT!" and Inuyasha falls. Other than that, Kagome misses home and runs off to find the well in which she came.
