Sleep's Disarray

A girl waits by her secret place
Hoping she will se
The beloved, sweet face
Of her darling to be
She searches high and low
She searches far and wide
She almost gives up trying
When she looks up at the sky
She sees a star falling
And then she sees his face
She hears his voice calling
So, she runs from the secret place
She rushes to the shore
Hoping she will find
The boy she's been searching for
And the love they left behind.

I lay down in my bed
It's time to go to sleep
I gently rest my head
On the pillow underneath
I slowly close my eyes
And forget about the day
I stifle yawns and sighs
And fight sleep's disarray.
